Port Talbot Steelworks is an integrated steel production plant in West Glamorgan, Wales, capable of producing nearly 5 million tonnes of steel slab per annum, making it the largest of all three major steel plants in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.

With boom lengths of up to 9 metres, Frontier Pitts FB model of Automatic Barrier was the perfect solution. The torque motor barriers have 100% duty rating, instantly reversible and constantly energised, which provides security locking and protection against low temperatures and damp conditions. Lower folding skirts are also available on boom lengths up to 7.5m.Together with the installation of Wig Wag lights, the automatic barrier system is the perfect solution for traffic control throughout the busy steelwork site.
