Rising Bollards

The Automatic Rising Bollard is a retractable bollard, hydraulically powered barricade which has a lift height of 600mm.

Automatic Rising Bollards provide automated heavy-duty vehicle access control and protection against ram-raiding. These units bridge the gap between Automatic Barriers and Road Blockers in terms of security and cost.

100% duty rating – Automatic Bollards are designed for continuous and frequent use. Power requirement is supplied from a single phase 230v supply.

The Automatic Rising Bollards can be interfaced to any access control systems. Traffic Light System included as standard on all automatic bollard systems.

Traffic Light System

Traffic Light systems are highly recommended to be installed with all road blocker and bollard systems to advise all users of its position. 100mm traffic light head can be pole or mounted on control cabinet

Manual Handpump

In the event of a power failure, a hand pump/release can be provided to enable the manual raising and lowering of the blocker/bollard.

Vehicle Detector Loops

Vehicle detector loops installed beneath the road surface to detect vehicles. This will prevent the automatic equipment from closing on a vehicle within the aperture. Safety induction loops cut into the road surface. This will prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle within the aperture.

Safety Photocells

Safety Photocells produce beams of light which cross the road way to monitor vehicle and pedestrian movement. If an object breaks this beam, the automatic equipment will stop & reverse. On gate installations, two pairs of photocells are usually fitted. Ultra Sonic Sensors are also available.

High Security Cabinet

Provides high security protection to the control cabinet of Frontier Pitts IWA14 & PAS 68 Anti Terra product range. Special Security cabinets can be fitted and tested to BRE 1175 with 6 point security locking mechanism and fire resistance to DIN 4102. High security mauer key lock, Class A, ECBS/ENV 1300 approved, with similar rating to BS EN 1143-1 1997.

Stainless Steel Cabinet

As standard, the road blockers/bollards control cabinet is shotblasted and finish with a final coat of polyurethane paint. However a Stainless Steel finish is also available as an option.
