Role: Junior Project Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Project Manager based at our Crawley HQ.

Overview:

As a Trainee Project Manager you will be trained in the planning, progression and installation of small projects such as barriers, turnstiles and roadblockers. You will be required to manage a number of these projects simultaneously. Many of the projects you will take ownership of will be for high profile clients therefore you will need to learn to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will need excellent communication skills as you will be trained to be able to interface with people at all levels from Company Directors to Civil Contractors both verbally and in writing. You will become their first point of contact and responsible for ensuring our customers are kept fully informed about their project through to its conclusion. This is an excellent opportunity to discover the real challenges and rewards of manufacturing and engineering.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Able to demonstrate practical basic engineering knowledge gained either through industrial placement, degree or project work.
  • Able to use and understanding of Windows based packages, email, internet etc
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and have an excellent memory
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues under time pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to converse at all levels and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to think commercially as well as technically
  • At least 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • A full driving license (car) would be an advantage

Due to our size you will be treated as an individual not a cog in a large machine and you’ll have as much responsibility as you can handle right from the start. Manufacturing on site you will gain experience quickly in all aspects of our products and everything that supports our processes. In a fast pace environment you’ll be running your own projects, making site visits and meeting customers – anyone from the security guard to the director.

Must be able to work from detailed drawings and have experience in working in an engineering environment.

Role: Fitters for Barrier section – 14.00 to 22.00

Frontier Pitts is looking for Fitters for the Barrier Section to be based at our Crawley HQ.

The Fitters are responsible for the final assembly of the Security Equipment in accordance to assembly drawings issued by the Drawing Office.

  • Collate materials required to complete Bespoke Product manufacture.
  • Assemble into a complete product in accordance to job specific specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure the aesthetics of the product remain of the highest quality for the client.
  • Use manual handling equipment where required.
  • Prepare equipment for factory acceptance testing and complete appropriate paper work

General Duties

  • You must be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • You must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
  • Some experience of using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, sockets etc is essential
  • Show an understanding of electrical wiring
  • A forklift license is an advantage.
  • Display a proactive attitude within the organisation with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
  • Recommend resources and training, to ensure that the organisation can meet future demands from its customers.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of personnel
