Due to our fast expanding International business, Frontier Pitts is looking for an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to work at our Crawley HQ to work on high security Gates, Barriers, Bollard, Blockers and Turnstiles. We are looking for an individual with energy, enthusiasm who is able to work well under pressure.

The individual will have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality with a passion for success. Experience within the transport / logistics industry is required.

Transport Coordinator Position Overview

1. Working with project managers and production to establish transport requirements

2. Plan and implement the daily deliveries to maximise the economic use of the transport fleet using our in
house drivers where possible

3. Direct contact with Haulage Companies for pricing and availability

4. Liaison with drivers to manage deliveries to agreed deadlines

5. Adaptability of changing requirements throughout the day

6. Finding solutions to unexpected daily issues eg breakdowns etc

7. Overseeing packing lists and loading requirements to ensure equipment goes as planned

Transport Coordinator Position Requirements

Role: Sales Support Administrator

Job description

To fulfil requirements in the areas of sales order processing and general office support. The following list of duties is not exhaustive.
Principle Accountabilities
Sales Support

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with sales enquiries, including gathering information from potential customer
  • Preparing costing sheet
  • Processing sales orders on computerised system
  • Preparing quotes for customers
  • Preparing ‘copy’ quotes for tender documents in conjunction with the Telesales Executive
  • Chasing up quoted work and monitoring quote in anticipation of an order
  • Updating forecast sheet for potential orders due
  • Sales support for Technical Sales Consultants
  • Dealing with incoming emails and sales in-box
  • Maintain customer database on specialised software
  • Keeping sales figures updated via white board/book/monthly spreadsheet
  • Preparing and presenting sales overview at annual sales meeting
  • Raising purchase requisitions for hotels, flights, car repairs & car hire

General office Duties

  • Filing
  • Shredding old quotes/paperwork when necessary
  • Signing for and checking postal/office deliveries
  • Sorting external mail and distributing it to the relevant department
  • Dealing with reception visitors and greeting guests
  • To liaise with other departments as necessary to ensure continued improvements to customer service and internal communications

Nature & Scope
The person appointed will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and organised, with a strong customer focus.
It is a varied role, and the post holder will demonstrate an ability to multitask calmly and efficiently within a busy and demanding environment.
The post holder may be required to attend trade shows or exhibitions for networking opportunities and to gain new product knowledge.

Key Skills

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience within a similar role, ideally within a sales office role, but formal qualifications are not required
  • A working knowledge of Eagle software will be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given

As an experienced Project Manager you will take full responsibility for the planning, progression and installation of a wide variety of Parking Bollards, Anti Terrorist Barriers and traffic access/control systems. Many of the projects you will take ownership of will be for high profile clients, therefore, you will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. As an exceptional communicator you will be able to interface at all levels from Company Directors to Civil Contractors both verbally and in writing. You will also be the first point of contact and responsible for ensuring our customers are kept fully informed about their project through to its conclusion. Due to the continuing success of our business you will be able to manage a number of these projects simultaneously.
 
Essential skills and qualifications:

  • A sound understanding of engineering principles gained through industrial placement, degree or project work.

Role: Fitters

Job description

Due to our fast expanding business, Frontier Pitts is looking for multiple Fitters to be based at our Crawley HQ to work on high security Gates, Barriers, Bollard, Blockers and Turnstiles.

The Fitters are responsible for the final assembly of the Security Equipment in accordance to assembly drawings issued by the Drawing Office.

  • Collate materials required to complete Bespoke Product manufacture. This may involve unloading deliveries.
  • Assemble into a complete product in accordance to job specific specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure the aesthetics of the product remain of the highest quality for the client.
  • Use manual handling equipment where required.
  • Prepare equipment for factory acceptance testing and complete appropriate paper work

General Duties

  • You must be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • You must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
  • A forklift license is an advantage.
  • Display a proactive attitude within the organisation with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
  • Recommend resources and training, to ensure that the organisation can meet future demands from its customers.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of personnel

Responsibilities

  • Working from drawings to electrically build products. You will be given the relevant parts and drawings, and will work autonomously to complete the product to customer specifications, alerting the supervisor to any issues.
  • Ability to manufacture to a high standard
  • High attention to detail and ability to inspect own work
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workplace.

Essential skills

  • Must have previous mechanical assembly experience
  • Must be able to read electrical & mechanical drawings
  • Must have a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Willing to work day and late shifts pro rota.
