Access Control Intercom systems

Intercom Systems

Intercom systems can be invaluable in providing remote communication between security staff and visitors to a site. An intercom system located with the equipment enables you to confirm the identity of the visitor prior to entry.

Standard operating ranges for optimum speech quality are 50, 100 and 300 metres -amplification is necessary for longer distances. Standard systems operate on a one to one basis but multi-point operation is available and all systems are fully expandable.

Access Control Intercom systems

GSM Intercom Systems

A GSM intercom provides a cost-effective solution for sites where cabling back to buildings is not possible or there are long runs. The GSM intercom requires a SIM card (one per unit) which the customer needs to provide prior to installation. As a simple check, any network that has signal at the position that the intercom is to be used, will be suitable for the GSM unit.

In addition to the SIM card, we also ask the customer to provide details of the numbers that each button on the unit will call to enable the programming to be done prior to arriving on site.

As an option, the GSM intercom is available with a keypad. The standard audio only and keypad version both have a built-in proximity reader as standard. The cost of a digital keypad, proximity tokens and PC programming software are available on request.

It continually monitors the status of the system, providing an alarm if required. The unit is self-contained and stand-alone. With the use of a wireless link, no cables are required between the HMI and our equipment; alternatively a serial cable can be used to link the access control to the specified PC. For more information, please see the Loop page

Safety Vehicle detector loops cut into the road surface to detect vehicles. These will prevent the equipment from closing/lowering on a vehicle within the aperture. For special loops, please see the Loop page

Access Control Traffic light systems

Traffic Light Systems

Traffic Light Systems can be installed with all automatic security equipment installations. Frontier Pitts highly recommend a traffic light system be installed in conjunction with a Road Blocker and Rising Bollard installations to ensure drivers are notified when the equipment is fully lowered and therefore safe to proceed.

Traffic lights will “FULL” signs are also available to notify drivers if there are spaces left in the car park
