The IWA 14 Terra Universal Bollard is the latest model of HVM Rising Bollard, which has been successfully impact tested to the new International IWA-14 specification, stopping a 7.2t vehicle travelling at 80kph (50mph). IWA14 is the latest International Workshop Agreement specification and supersedes the British PAS68 specification.
The fully automatic, easy glide hydraulically driven Rising Bollard mechanism provides outstanding 360° Hostile Vehicle Mitigation protection from the threat of VBIED’s.
The Terra Universal Bollard has been designed to complement the Static Bollard diameters of our HVM Planet range. This unique characteristic allows inter-changeable diameter sleeves to be fitted to the rising bollards inner core, creating a versatile and stylish perimeter protection solution. This environmentally friendly retractable bollard requires 30% less steel than its predecessor, allowing for ease of installation in a simple fabric mesh pocket. The visibly minimised footprint is finished with an attractive hexagonal top plate, and has the option of LED cateye lighting creating a stylish bollard perfect for modern architectural designs.
IWA14-1 Rising Bollards and Static Bollards are required to be installed at 1200mm between upright bollard faces to meet IWA14-2 guidelines.
Retractable Automatic Rising Terra Bollards have an industrial hydraulic pump drive unit. Designed for ease of installation and maintenance. The Retractable Automatic Terra Bollard can be interfaced to any access control systems. Traffic Light System included as standard on all automatic bollard systems.
The Rising Terra Universal Bollard is designed to complement the Static HVM Bollards.

Accumulator |
In the event of a power failure or sabotage, the accumulator can raise and lower the blocker/bollard for a number of predetermined operations. An accumulator is a self contained charged unit with battery backed control system. |

Manual Handpump |

Vehicle Detector Loops |
Vehicle detector loops installed beneath the road surface to detect vehicles. This will prevent the automatic equipment from closing on a vehicle within the aperture. Safety induction loops cut into the road surface. This will prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle within the aperture. |
Safety Photocells |
Safety Photocells produce beams of light which cross the road way to monitor vehicle and pedestrian movement. If an object breaks this beam, the automatic equipment will stop & reverse. On gate installations, two pairs of photocells are usually fitted. Ultra Sonic Sensors are also available. |
High Security Cabinet |
Provides high security protection to the control cabinet of Frontier Pitts IWA14 & PAS 68 Anti Terra product range. Special Security cabinets can be fitted and tested to BRE 1175 with 6 point security locking mechanism and fire resistance to DIN 4102. High security mauer key lock, Class A, ECBS/ENV 1300 approved, with similar rating to BS EN 1143-1 1997. |
Anti Skid Paint |
The Terra Bollard’s Top Plate can be fully coated with an anti skid resistant treatment which has been fully tested under laboratory conditions for at least 12 months |
