Role: Field Service Engineer

Frontier Pitts welcomes applications from Electromechanical Field Service Engineers to aid in the installation, service and maintenance of our wide range of security equipment. The exact location for these roles are flexible within the above areas. If you satisfy the following criteria please do apply by the below means.
The successful applicant will have the following profile:
- The ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, although full training will be provided for our specific requirements.
- A full driving license, preferably clean.
- Be self motivated to work individually but adaptable to work as part of a team.
- Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written
- Electrical and mechanical experience.
- Fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning experience.
- Ability to conduct site surveys.
- Good customer service skills.
The applicant must:
- Have a good level of fitness due to the physical demands of the job.
- Be able to pass security clearances. Please do not apply if you have a criminal history as you will not pass the security clearances.
- Have a flexible and positive outlook.
- Be able to attend out of hours call outs.
Desirable attributes: The following qualities would be an advantage but are not essential.
- A working experience and qualification in 3 phase and 18th edition electrical.
- Recognised Health and Safety training.
- Welding experience and qualification.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic or fluid system experience.
- Previous experience with gates/barriers/blockers.
Further information
- Some foreign travel may be available but not compulsory.
- Generally this role is home based but some staying away will be required for this role. especially in the Northen Team.
- Weekends and occasional night working will form part of this role.
- This is a varied and interesting role and would suit a person who enjoys diversity in their working conditions. Working hours are based on a 40 hour week during normal office hours Monday – Friday, but working hours will be different on any given day. Overtime will be required at late notice and scheduled jobs will change on a day to day basis depending on client requirements. Working hours will not be predictable
- Out of hours call outs will be a part of this role.
- This position is primarily outside
- Vehicle, uniform, PPE, mobile phone and tools will be provided.

As an experienced Project Manager you will take full responsibility for the planning, progression and installation of a wide variety of Parking Bollards, Anti Terrorist Barriers and traffic access/control systems. Many of the projects you will take ownership of will be for high profile clients therefore you will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. As an exceptional communicator you will be able to interface at all levels from Company Directors to Civil Contractors both verbally and in writing. You will also be the first point of contact and responsible for ensuring our customers are kept fully informed about their project through to its conclusion. Due to the continuing success of our business you will be able to manage a number of these projects simultaneously.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Able to demonstrate practical basic engineering knowledge gained either through experience or degree
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Able to use and understanding of Windows based packages, email, internet etc.
- Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
- Proven customer service experience
- Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and have an excellent memory
- Ability to deal with multiple issues under time pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to converse at all levels and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to think commercially as well as technically
- A full driving license (car)
- Previous experience of construction site work in the UK would be an advantage including working with main contractors, knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and H & S regulations

Due to our fast expanding business, Frontier Pitts is looking for multiple Fitters for our day shift (40hours per week) to be based at our Crawley HQ to work on high security Gates, Barriers, Bollard, Blockers and Turnstiles.
The Fitters are responsible for the final assembly of the Security Equipment in accordance to assembly drawings issued by the Drawing Office.
- Collate materials required to complete Bespoke Product manufacture. This may involve unloading deliveries.
- Assemble into a complete product in accordance to job specific specifications and drawings.
- Ensure the aesthetics of the product remain of the highest quality for the client.
- Use manual handling equipment where required.
- Prepare equipment for factory acceptance testing and complete appropriate paper work
General Duties
- You must be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- You must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- A forklift license is an advantage.
- Display a proactive attitude within the organisation with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
- Recommend resources and training, to ensure that the organisation can meet future demands from its customers.
- Clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of personnel

Role: Sales Support Administrator – Maternity Cover with possible extension to full time contract

We are now seeking a Sales Support Administrator to join the team to support the Technical Sales Consultant. This is for Maternity Cover with possible extension to full time contract. The following list of duties is not exhaustive.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sales Support
- Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with sales enquiries, including gathering information from potential customer
- Ensure CRM console is up to date and inputting data in following on from quotes being sent off
- Processing sales orders
- Preparing ‘copy’ quotes for tender documents in conjunction with Telesales Executive
- Chasing up quoted work and monitoring quote in anticipation of an order
- Use external lead generation database to support Sales Team to find new work and assist with internal queries
- Dealing with incoming emails and sales inbox
- Maintain customer CRM database on specialised software
- Reading through contracts for new orders
General Office Duties
- Sorting external mail and distributing it to the relevant department
- Dealing with reception visitors and greeting guests
- To liaise with other departments as necessary to ensure continued improvements to customer service and internal communications
Nature & Scope
The person appointed will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and organised, with a strong customer focus.
It is a varied role, and the post holder will demonstrate an ability to multitask calmly and efficiently within a busy and demanding environment.
The post holder may be required to attend trade shows or exhibitions for networking opportunities and to gain new product knowledge
Key Skills
- Minimum 1 years’ experience within a similar role, ideally within a sales office role, but formal qualifications are not required
- Microsoft Office skills essential (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Highly motivated team player with a desire to meet targets and seek new business opportunities
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
