Automatic HVM Terra Quantum Side Folding Bollards installation at a Public Realm area Hammersmith.

Background

In the heart of Hammersmith lies a new estate including Offices, Retail Units and public areas with outdoor amenities and seating areas.

The Gateway to the Estate is just off the very busy public high way and therefore Secured by Design recommended our client install an HVM impact tested shallow foundation solution.

Challenge
To install a Shallow Foundation Impact Tested HVM (Hostile Vehicle Mitigation) Automatic Rising Bollard that provides out of hours and emergency security against vehicle attacks at the front entrance of this prestigious building estate.

Result

Frontier Pitts HVM Specialists were involved in the project from the early design stage, offering initial design advice and working closely with the different Stakeholders and Secured by Design officer to produce a tailored solution.

Our Automatic Terra Quantum Bollards were selected as the HVM Solution for the Estates Gateway. The Terra Quantum Bollard has been successfully impact-tested to the British PAS 68 specification stopping 7.5t travelling at 30mph. With its shallow foundation and unique side folding action, the innovative rising bollard was finished in stainless steel to blend in beautifully with the Estates contemporary feel.

This project highlights Frontier Pitts ability to manufacture Automatic HVM engineered solutions that blend into the Landscape Architecture effortlessly.
