Frontier Pitts rising Terra Bollards were specified to provide HVM protection to Exeter University campus were the preferred choice to meet the counter terrorist (CT) objectives, protecting this venerable location from the threat of VBIED’s (vehicle borne improvised explosive device), whilst allowing the free passage by pedestrians.Frontier Pitts Terra Rising Bollards have been successfully impact tested with a 7.5t vehicle travelling at 50mph. Finished here in stainless steel, the bollards were installed with traffic light systems and interfaced to the existing access control system.
At a goods inwards, a tracked sliding gate was fitted complete with sheet infill on a slope. Security Tracked Sliding Gates are designed to run on a track installed in the roadway and are able to secure wide apertures. The track is bolted down to the first pour concrete and the second pour brings the level up to finished road level. The track is normally 5mm below finished road level.
