Static Shallow Mount Terra Mars Bollards protecting an International UK Terminals perimeter from VBIEDs, whilst allowing free movement by pedestrians accessing Departures and Arrivals.

After the terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport back in 2007, all UK Airports are under threat and require Counter Terrorist protection in line with Aviation Security in Airport Development (ASIAD). A row of PAS 68 Shallow Static Terra Mars Bollard were installed around the perimeter. The counter terrorist bollard, successfully PAS 68 impact tested stopping a 7.5t vehicle travelling at 40mph (65kph), requires an embedment depth of just 230mm which is perfect for applications such as busy International Airports where foundation depths are limited.For this project the counter terrorist bollards were finished with a mitre top satin finished stainless steel sleeve.
