Frontier Pitts welcomes applications from Electromechanical Field Service Engineers to aid in the installation, service and maintenance of our wide range of security equipment.  The exact location for these roles are flexible within the above areas. The successful applicant will have the following profile:

  • The ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, although full training will be provided for our specific requirements.
  • A full driving license, preferably clean.
  • Be self motivated to work individually but adaptable to work as part of a team.
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written
  • Electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning experience.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys.
  • Good customer service skills.

The applicant must:

  • Have a good level of fitness due to the physical demands of the job.
  • Be able to pass security clearances. Please do not apply if you have a criminal history as you will not pass the security clearances.
  • Have a flexible and positive outlook.
  • Be able to attend out of hours call outs.

Desirable attributes: The following qualities would be an advantage but are not essential. 

  • A working experience and qualification in 3 phase and 18th edition electrical.
  • Recognised Health and Safety training.
  • Welding experience and qualification.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic or fluid system experience.
  • Previous experience with gates/barriers/blockers.

Further information

  • Some foreign travel may be available but not compulsory.
  • Generally this role is home based but some staying away will be required for this role. especially in the Northen Team.
  • Weekends and occasional night working will form part of this role.
  • This is a varied and interesting role and would suit a person who enjoys diversity in their working conditions. Working hours are based on a 40 hour week during normal office hours Monday – Friday, but working hours will be different on any given day. Overtime will be required at late notice and scheduled jobs will change on a day to day basis depending on client requirements. Working hours will not be predictable
  • Out of hours call outs will be a part of this role.
  • This position is primarily outside

Role: Site Services Manager

Overview
We are looking for a proactive and technically capable Site Services Manager to lead our Site Services function, supporting key customer accounts, managing repair activities, overseeing warranty performance, and driving business growth. 
Acting as a link between customers, engineers, quality teams and maintenance operations you will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities to improve performance and generate new business. 
This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering or technical background who enjoys customer interaction, project management, team leadership, and commercial development. 
Key Responsibilities
Team Management

  • Lead and manage the Repairs team
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and regular one-to-one meetings. 
  • Manage performance improvement plans where required. 
  • Handle disciplinary and employee welfare matters. 
  • Identify training needs and arrange technical and professional development programmes. 
  • Oversee internal processes and procedures within the Site Services function. 

Customer Care & Account Management

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams. 

Project Management 

  • Manage larger repair, refurbishment, upgrade, and customer improvement projects. 
  • Coordinate customers, suppliers, engineers, and subcontractors where required. 
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and customer expectations. 
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. 

Business Development 

  • Working with the business development manager to Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the UK. 
  • Develop relationships with existing customers to increase service and project revenue. 
  • Arrange customer site surveys to identify opportunities for upgrades, repairs, and additional works. 
  • Support quotation and proposal preparation. 
  • Contribute directly to business profitability through commission-generating activities. 

Commercial & Financial Responsibilities 

  • Support invoicing and revenue recovery processes. 
  • Assist Accounts with customer debtor and invoice queries. 
  • Monitor warranty expenditure and repair-related costs. 
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Department regarding ongoing pricing reviews and contract profitability. 
  • Support commercial decision-making through reporting and analysis. 

Technical Skills & Experience 
Essential 

  • Proven experience in a technical, engineering, maintenance, facilities, or field-based environment. 
  • Experience managing technical teams or supervisors. 
  • Strong understanding of repairs, maintenance, warranty management, and customer support processes. 
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Experience investigating equipment failures and conducting root cause analysis.

The Fitters are responsible for the final assembly of the Security Equipment in accordance to assembly drawings issued by the Drawing Office.

  • Collate materials required to complete Bespoke Product manufacture. This may involve unloading deliveries.
  • Assemble into a complete product in accordance to job specific specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure the aesthetics of the product remain of the highest quality for the client.
  • Use manual handling equipment where required.
  • Prepare equipment for factory acceptance testing and complete appropriate paper work

General Duties

  • You must be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • You must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
  • A forklift license is an advantage.
  • Display a proactive attitude within the organisation with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.

To promote and sell the Company’s range of perimeter security within an assigned territory, maintaining existing customer relationships whilst identifying and securing new business opportunities. The role is responsible for driving product sales growth, increasing market share, and achieving agreed sales targets through proactive customer engagement, specification activity, and effective account management.
The post holder will ensure all sales activity, opportunities, quotations, forecasts, and market intelligence are accurately reported to Head Office in line with Company procedures.
The successful candidate may also be required to represent the Company at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and customer events in the UK and overseas as required.
The Company reserves the right to require the post holder to undertake other duties commensurate with the role, skills, and experience as business needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities (Product Sales Focus)

  • Promote and sell the Company’s range of gates, barriers, bollards, road blockers, turnstiles, access control equipment, and associated products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, installers, contractors, consultants, specifiers, and end users
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new product sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research
  • Generate specifications and ensure Frontier Pitts products are considered at the earliest stages of project development

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sales Support

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with sales enquiries, including gathering information from potential customer
  • Ensure CRM console is up to date and inputting data in following on from quotes being sent off

  • Preparing ‘copy’ quotes for tender documents in conjunction with Telesales Executive
  • Chasing up quoted work and monitoring quote in anticipation of an order
  • Use external lead generation database to support Sales Team to find new work and assist with internal queries

General Office Duties

  • Sorting external mail and distributing it to the relevant department
