Frontier Pitts Technical Consultant Mike Jones named Vice Chairman of DHF’s ‘Automated Gate Group’

The Automated Gate Group was formed in 2009 in response to requests from the Health and Safety Executive. The government safety organisation sought an industry-wide trade body that would develop higher standards of safety for automated gates, following a number of fatal accidents since 2007. The group represents manufacturers, suppliers, installers and maintainers of automated gates, who demonstrate their credentials of quality, safety and adherence to the high technical standards required.

Mike Jones has been with Frontier Pitts Ltd for 12 years as a Technical Consultant and looks to marry customer requirements with security needs.
As vice-chairman of the DHF Automated Gate Group, Mike is at the forefront of upping safety standards within the industry.
‘Safety has to be seen as a priority and has to be delivered along with all the other aspects of perimeter security,’ he said.
