Events such as the recent Russian Railway Station bombing have now focused the threat of vehicle laden bombs to the Russian Critical National Infrastructure.
Working in conjunction with 7 person, Frontier Pitts Ltd supplied a number of PAS 68 Compact Terra Barriers to several Power Sub Stations in Moscow. These anti-terrorist drop arm barriers provide high security protection against acts of terrorism on Moscow’s key infrastructure. The PAS 68 Compact Terra Barrier solution has been impact tested to the British PAS 68 specification, successfully stopping 3.5t @ 30mph (48kph) within the barrier aperture. Remote access control and safety devices such as photocells and flashing beacons were included on the barriers to fulfill site requirements.For the Compact Terra Barriers to operate in such extreme cold conditions experienced in the Russian climate (operating temperatures -35 to +50 °C, occassional -40 °C), Frontier Pitts redesigned the product to cope with the extreme temperatures, ensure reliability and the 100% duty rating.7person worked closely with Frontier Pitts to achieve the specification and installation of the Compact Terra Barriers, and now continue to maintain the HVM Solution in Moscow.
