THE TEST
The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Bollards when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle
at a speed of 80km/hour (50mph). In accordance with PAS 68-69 2007 and the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, an European lorry was used to act as the test vehicle, loaded with concrete blocks and fitted with test sensors, to meet the demanding specifications for this test laid down by the DOS.

On impact the Terra Bollard brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the units.
After the impact the Terra Bollards remained fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower.

The Terra Bollard surpassed the BS PAS 68:2007 and the Department of State Certification K12 standards, and continue to operate immediately after the impact, especially without needing repair.
