The Terra Blocker is part of the Anti Terra range which is the complete range of counter terror equipment. The Anti Terra range has been successfully impact tested in accordance with BSi PAS 68, stopping 7500kg travelling at 50mph (80kmph). The requirements of the BSi PAS 68 standard surpasses those of the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, which has now been superseded by the ASTM standard F2656. The Terra Gate, Terra Blocker, Terra Bollards & Terra V Gate continued to operate after the crash test impact.

The Frontier Pitts crash-rated Terra Blocker model ATTB is available in lengths up to 5000mm, with a lifted height of 810mm. A lift height of 1100mm is available on request.

Also available, the Terra Shallow Blocker, and the Terra Mount Blocker.

Foundation depth required for a 810mm lift height Terra Blocker is 1400mm.

THE TEST
The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Blocker when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 80km/hour (50mph). In accordance with BSi PAS 68, which surpasses the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, a lorry was used to act as the test vehicle, loaded with concrete blocks and fitted with test sensors, to meet the demanding specifications for this test laid down by the DOS. The DoS standard has now been superseded by the ASTM standard F2656.

On impact the Terra Blocker brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the impacted face of the unit. After the impact the Terra Blocker remains fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower.

The Terra Blocker, like all Frontier Pitts products are all designed, built and CE marked in the UK to the most stringent international standards. These tests have been witnessed by CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure), previously NSAC (National Security Advice Centre) plus NICC; the UK Governments Advisory Body for Security.
