The ULTIMATE PAS 68 automatic drop arm barrier. Successfully impact tested against a range of different energies. The Ultimate Solution.

Successfully impact tested to PAS 68 stopping a 7.5t vehicle travelling at 50mph (80kph). On impact the barrier stopped the vehicle within the aperture.

The beam was retested with an under run skirt to test the arresting capability of the barrier on other vehicles such as saloon cars. The automatic PAS 68 Terra Ultimate Barrier proved that it will also prevent both cars and lorries from entering site.

The automatic Terra Ultimate Barrier can be interfaced to any access control systems.

    • Construction: Special Manufactured impact posts. Manufacture to provide all rebar already formed Rising Beam is fully welded using a steel frame. Impact Beam fitted to stanchions at 1055mm height 
    • Foundation Depth 400mm, Foundation Type B
    • Finish: Shotblasted, hot zinc sprayed (galvanised), primed and finished with a final coat of polyurethane paint. Client to advise RAL paint number. This process provides a 20-year corrosion protection system for exterior, industrial polluted inland sites to BS5493, 1977 (Revised 1984). Alternative finishes available on request.
    • Options: Accumulator – allows a number of operations in power failure mode, Manual Hand pump, High Security Cabinet, Anti-tamper alarms
    • Safety: Safety-edges, Vehicle Detector Loops, Safety Photocells, LED Traffic ligh heads, Flashing beacon, Audible alarm

Vehicle Detector Loops

 Vehicle detector loops installed beneath the road surface to detect vehicles. This will prevent the automatic equipment from closing on a vehicle within the aperture. Safety induction loops cut into the road surface. This will prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle within the aperture.

Safety Photocells

 Safety Photocells produce beams of light which cross the road way to monitor vehicle and pedestrian movement. If an object breaks this beam, the automatic equipment will stop & reverse. On gate installations, two pairs of photocells are usually fitted. Ultra Sonic Sensors are also available.

Barrier Safety Edge

 Safety Edges are normally fitted to automatic gates. However they can also be installed beneath a barrier boom. Safety edges prevent the barrier lowering on a person or vehicle in the event it is activated. Safety edges are flexible strips which, if depressed, send a signal to the power source to stop.

Manual Hand pump

 In the event of a power failure, a hand pump/release can be provided to enable the manual raising and lowering of the barrier.

High Security Cabinet

 Provides high security protection to the control cabinet of Frontier Pitts PAS 68 Anti Terra product range. Special Security cabinets can be fitted and tested to BRE 1175 with 6 point security locking mechanism and fire resistance to DIN 4102. High security mauer key lock, Class A, ECBS/ENV 1300 approved, with similar rating to BS EN 1143-1 1997.

Terra Barrier Swivel Skirt

 Skirts installed above and below the Terra Beam. As the barrier beam rises, the skirt folds towards the beam. Full height swivel skirts provide an extra visual deterrent.
