Safety Edges

Can be fitted to the leading edge of the gateleaf, with additional safety edges mounted to the internal and external motor posts.

Safety edges are used to prevent the gate closing on a person or vehicle in the event it is activated.

Weldmesh infill (8 gauge x 50mm square, clipped behind bars)

flashing beacon Gate post mounted audible alarm or flashing beacon
loops
Safety induction loops cut into the road surface. This will prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle within the aperture.
pedestrian guard rail
Pedestrian guard rail around run-back area at a height of 1000/2000mm 200 x 50 profiled mesh, finish as gate. This is to prevent serious injury to a person, should they stray into that area whilst the gate is operating.
photocells

Safety photocells

These acts as additional safety for pedestrians and high tail lorries or low-slung vehicles. Usually two pairs of photocells are fitted at 700mm
