THE TERRA SHALLOW BLOCKER HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY IMPACT TESTED STOPPING 7,500kg TRAVELLING AT 50mph (80km/Hour) & CONTINUED TO OPERATE AFTER IMPACT
The Terra Shallow Blocker was successfully impact tested in accordance with BSi PAS 68. To the amazement of the Security Consultants and Civil Engineers present, the Terra Shallow Blocker had been installed just 52 hours prior to testing.

THE TEST
The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Shallow Blocker when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 50mph (80km/hour). In accordance with BSi PAS 68:2007, which surpasses the requirements of the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, a lorry was used to act as the test vehicle. The DoS standard has now been superseded by the ASTM standard F2656.

On impact the Terra Shallow Blocker brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the impacted face of the unit. After the impact the Terra Shallow Blocker remains fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower, without the need for repair.

The Terra Shallow Blocker, like all Frontier Pitts products are all designed, built and CE marked in the UK to the most stringent international standards.
