Terra Mount Blocker Classification code: V/7500[N3]/80/90:0/3.4 Terra Mount Blocker product tested: Lift Height 1100mm, Width 2500mm The Frontier Pitts crash-rated Terra Mount Blocker is available in lengths up to 5000mm, with a lifted height of 810mm or 1100mm. The Terra Mount is mounted on the road, therefore no foundations are required. The Terra Mount Blocker is the ONLY surface mounted blocker to be successfully impact tested to the BSi PAS 68 standard AND remain bolted in its original position during and after impact. The Terra Mount Blocker is part of the Anti Terra range which is the complete range of counter terror equipment. The Anti Terra range has been successfully impact tested in accordance with BSi PAS 68, stopping 7500kg travelling at 50mph (80kmph).
The Terra Mount Blocker continued to operate after the crash test impact. |
The Terra Mount Blocker’s features allow the road surface fixing to be prepared within 2 hours. The Terra Mount Blocker can be bolted to existing concrete slab which should have a minimum depth of 150mm. As health and safety has always been the main priority with any Frontier Pitts product, the Terra Mount Blocker has been designed with special pre formed ramps which allow safe passage by all users; vehicles, motor bikes or pedestrians. The blockers external pump unit can raise and lower the unit in under 2 seconds. Additional features include a power fail hand pump and special anti burst hydraulic hoses. The front skirt also provides safe operation of the product. The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Mount Blocker when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 50mph (80km/hour). |

These tests have been witnessed by CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure), previously NSAC (National Security Advice Centre) plus NICC; the UK Governments Advisory Body for Security. On impact the Terra Mount Blocker brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the impacted face of the unit. The Terra Mount Blocker did not move on impact and remained fully functional with the operating mechanism continuing to raise and lower, without the need for repair.
